Welcome, Lord Mayor!

We were most honoured to welcome The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Mr Michael Mainelli, and the Lady Mayoress as guests of The Master, Paul Galpin, at our Civic Dinner held at Innholders’ Hall on 22 May 2024.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress are greeted on arrival by the Clerk, Brigadier James Stopford. Inside, members of the Guard of Honour from the Company of Pikemen and Musketeers await their arrival.
The Master Paul Galpin and Second Master Peter Kenyon are photographed with our esteemed guests. While The Beadle, flanked by a Pikeman and a Musketeer, brandishes his Staff of Office ready to announce our guests.
The Lord Mayor, now armed with a glass of champagne, makes his way to the reception. While Warden John Bennett, Renter Warden Mike Richardson, and Second Master Paul Kenyon share a joke together before dinner.
After dinner, gifts are exchanged.
Other notable attendees include: Mr Stuart Shilson, Prior of the Priory of England and the Islands of the Order of St John, chair of St John Ambulance, and guest of Past Master Peter Herbage; and, Ms Claire Burrell, Master of the Worshipful Company of Insurers
The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of the City of London, accompanied by the Officers of the Worshipful Company of Cooks and the ceremonial Guard of Honour from the Company of Pikemen and Musketeers.
